since July 26, 1946. However it would be several more years before we were converted to an exclusively Southern Gospel format. We operated under several different formats before we became the oldest exclusive gospel music station in the Montgomery area! The station is currently owned by George Buck, Jr. and is under the general management of Dane Harris, who came to the station as a DJ in 1991. Recently, in 2007, WMGY made itself a home on the world wide web and even began streaming over the Internet, so that listeners outside of our coverage area can still have access to the quality Christian programming we offer. We are proud to be the oldest Christian music station in Montgomery and strive each day to ensure that our programming and music can minister to the hearts and minds of everyone.
